2.  Daniel Pierce / Pearce Sr.1 (John-1) was born circa 1662 in Prudence Island, Rhode Island, British America.1 He died after 1744 at the age of 82 in North Kingstown, Kings, Rhode Island, British America.1 Daniel Pearce was the son of John and Mary Pearce. He was born about 1662. His birthplace is open to question. If his parents arrived in Rehoboth, Massachusetts in 1660 and then to Plymouth Colony in 1666, then Rehoboth was his probable birthplace. If his parents arrived after 1662, Daniel may have been born in Wales.

Daniel was made a freeman of Portsmouth on 6 June 1692. Pearce married twice. The identity of his first wife remains a mystery; the second was Elizabeth Tucker, whom he wed on 13 December 1703.

Daniel resided in Portsmouth until 1720, then relocated to North Kingson, where he took up permanent residence during the summer of 1723.

Daniel was a grand juryman and overseer of the poor in North Kingston in 1724.

In 1700, Daniel of Prudence Island bought 700 acres at Aquidnesitt from Benjamin and Jonathan Viall and John Thomas of Swanzey.

The Pearces conveyed by deed of gift to sons, Daniel Jr. and John of Portsmouth, in common, 400 acres of land at Aquidnesit in 1721.

On 8 July 1722, Peace sold a mulatto man named Ephraim Smith to his son and daughter.

On 17 March 1723, Daniel Pearce, Jr. and Patiece and John Pearce and Martha sold to their honored father, Daniel Pearce of Kingston, 400 acres conveyed to them in 1721.

He executed a free deed of gift to the town of North Kingston, land for a road that would run from Fones Bridge to the sea, for a public drift way on 11 August 1724.

Daniel and Elizabeth sold lands to sons Daniel and John of Prudence Island on 16 March 1726. On the 17th, Daniel and John gave a bond to brothers, Nathan and William, that they would give them part of their father's estate when they came of age.

On 13 November 1736, Daniel appeared before the town council of North Kingston and agreed to bring a certificate from Portsmouth concerning his daughter, Mary, and her two children [John Moss, Jr. and Joshua Moss.]
