Perkins Family Update [Gen. 1-3]

First Generation
  
1.  Thomas Perkins1 was born circa 1475 in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England.1 He died between 3 Apr 1528 and 21 Apr 1528 at the age of 53 in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England.1 Thomas Perkins made his will on 3 April 1528. He named his son Henry, daughters 'Jone' and 'Jelyan,' and wife Alice. The will was proved 21 April 1528.

Alice, his wife, made her will 31 July 1538. She named her children: 'Jeyn' Sleyter, Juliana Compton and Henry Perkins. Her will was proved 15 October 1538.

Thomas, Alice, and a daughter, Elizabeth are buried under thecenter isle floor of the St. John the Baptist Church in Hillmorton [modern-day Rugby, Rugby Borough.]

As Elizabeth was not mentioned in either of her parents' wills, it can be assumed she predeceased her father.
Find A Grave gives her death as April 1528. If that is the case, she died on the 1st or 2nd of the month.
Thomas Perkins and Alice [Perkins] were married circa 1499 in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England.1 Alice [Perkins]1 died on 31 Jul 1538–10 Oct 1538 in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England.1 Find A Grave gives de Astley as Alice's maiden name, but this has not been confirmed.

Second Generation
 
2.  Henry Perkins1 (Thomas-1) was born circa 1500 in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England.1 He died before 16 Jun 1546 at the age of 46 in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England.1 Henry's will is missing from the parish registers, however there is record of the will being proved on 16 June 1646. Henry fathered at least three children: Thomas, William and Joan.

3 i. Thomas Perkins, born ca 1525, Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England; married Alice Kebble, ca 1553, Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England; died ca 23 Mar 1591/2, Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England.
 
 
Third Generation
 
3.  Thomas Perkins1 (Henry-2, Thomas-1) was born circa 1525 in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England.1 He died circa 23 Mar 1591/2 at the age of 67 in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England.1 He was buried on 23 Mar 1591/2 in Hillmorton, Warwick, England.1 Thomas Perkins made his will 15 September 1588 and it was proved on 11 May 1592. He asked to be buried in the parish church or churchyard. Ten shillings were left for the relief of the poor. Bequests were made to his godchildren. Thomas left his son John his house, messuage or tenement in Hillmorton "late in the tenure of Thomas Bassett." The residue of his houses, lands, tenements and hereditaments went to eldest son Henry. All household stuff, furniture in the parlor and the use of the parlor were left to wife Alice during her widowhood. Bequests were made to sons William, Edward, Luke, Isaac and grandson Thomas [William's son]. All of his sons' children were to receive a ewe and a lamb. The same bequest was made to "his brother Kebble's wife," and his brother, William. Thomas Kebble was to receive a lamb. Henry was named sole executor.

Thomas Perkins and Alice Kebble had eight sons: Henry [b. c1555], John, William, Thomas, Edward, Francis [bp. 20 April 1565 - died before 1588], Lucas [bp. 20 Sep 1568] and Isaac [bp. 20 Dec 1571].
