Douglas Family Update [Generations 1 & 2]

Reexamining the Douglas family has been an adventure. What I thought had been a solid Scottish connection, may not have any Scots blood at all - at least not back into the 1500s. The information on the origins of William, the immigrant, is still speculative. There is not yet solid proof that William of Easton Maudit is the person who married Anne Mattle. This bunch gave me a fit before! My "original connection" to the family was through William [b. 1645] and Abiah Hough and their daughter Elizabeth. That turned out to be in error, but Sarah [William's sister] was connected. Here is the update:


First Generation
