First Generation
1. Henry Lakin1 was born about 1635 in Alderwaisaire, Staffordshire, England.1–2 He died in 1695 at the age of 60 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania. 1–2 Henry Lakin was of Alderwaisare, Staffordshire, England. He married Margery Muse in 1655 in Litchfield, Staffordshire. The couple had six children. Exactly when Margery died is not known. Henry and their children left for Pennsylvania in 1685, so Margery died between the birth of Susannah in 1665 and 1685
At least Henry Lakin and children Moses, Sarah and Susanna departed Bristol, England aboard the Unicorn and arrived in Philadelphia on 16 October 1685. Hannah and Rachel were either on the same ship or arrived about the same time as the others, as both went to Pennsylvania.
Henry married for a second time on 9 March 1686/7 in Philadelphia to Anne Lee, widow of Charles Lee.
Henry Lakin died in Philadelphia in 1695.

2. Hannah Lakin1 (Henry-1) was born on 29 Jan 1656/7 in Alderwaisaire, Staffordshire, England.2 She died before 1739 at the age of 82 in probably Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. 2 She was also known as Hannah Howell.3
Hannah Lakin and Daniel Howell1 were married on 4 Sep 1686 in at the residence of Isaac Pierson, Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.3 Daniel Howell4, son of Thomas Howell and Katherine Thomas, was born about 1660 in Tamworth, Warwickshire, England.5 He signed a will on 14 Apr 1739 in Solebury Twp., Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. 3 He died in Sep 1739 at the age of 79 in Solebury Twp., Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. 6–7 Daniel had his estate probated on 28 Sep 1739 in Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. 8 Daniel was born in England and died in Solebury Township, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. He came to West Jersey with his father and siblings aboard the "Welcome" in 1682. He sold his 250 acre Cooper's Creek plantation, "Livewell" to brother Mordecai in 1687.
He then removed to Philadelphia, where he served on the grand jury in 1701. Daniel was listed as "of Philadelphia" in a deed of 29 September 1690. He spent his final years in Solebury Township. On 10 June 1734 he deeded 200 acres of his Amwell Twp., Hunterdon Co., New Jersey property to granddaughter of Elizabeth.
'This Indenture Made the tenth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and thirty four Between Daniel Howell of the County of Bucks in the Province of Pennsylvania, yeoman, of the one part, and Elizabeth Howell eldest daughter of Daniel Howell late of the township of Amwell in the County of Hunterdon and Western Division of the Province of New Jersey yeo: dec'd of the other part Witnesseth that the said Daniel Howell as well for and in Consideration of the natural love and affection which he hath and beareth towards the said Elizabeth Howell his Grand Daughter as also for the sum of five shillings of good and lawful Money to him in hand paid at and before the Sealing and delivery of these presents by the said Elizabeth Howell the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said Daniel Howell hath given granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the sd Elizabeth Howel her Hiers and Assigns for ever the just number and quanity of two hundred acres of Land to be had received taken up & surveyed in any part of the Western Division afs'd pursuant to the regulations Customs and Constitutions of the Division for taking up Lands in that Case made use of and provided and which sd two hundred Acres of Land is the same quantity for which the said Daniel Howell obtained a warrent from the Council of Proprietors for sd Western Division which sd Warrant bears date the 9th day of May Anno Domini in part of his Right of one eighth part of a propriety of Land in the sd Western Division which descended to the sd Daniel Howell as eldest son and Heir at Law of his father Thomas Howell late of the sd Western Division yeo: dec'd, who purchased the same of Benjamin Bartlett of Westminister in the County of Middlesex gent: by Indenture of Lease and release dated the last day of August & the first day of September Anno Dom: 1677 and is part of one full and whole propriety of Land by the sd Benjamin Bartlett in partnership with Samuel Coles of London Haberdasher purchased of Edward Billing by Ind'rs of Lease and Release dated the first and second days of March Anno Domini 1676

"In the Name of God Amen the fourteenth day of April Anno Dom: One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty nine. I Daniel Howell of Solebury County of Bucks and province of Pennsylvania yeoman being sick in body but of good & perfect Memory......
"and my Body to be buried in such place where it shall please my Executors hereafter named to appoint.......
"Imprimus I give & bequeath unto my son Benjamin Howell five shillings to be paid by my Executors after my decease
"Item I give & bequeath unto my son-in-law Job Howell one shilling to be paid by my Executors after my Decease.
"Item I give and bequeath unto William Rittenhuysen of Amwell and Joseph Howell of Bethlehem County of Hunterdon and Western Division of the Province of New Jersey yeomen All my Estate both real and personal in every ways belonging unto me excepting an eighth part of a propritary Right unto and purchased by my father Thomas Howell I will that the said Joseph Howell have it.
