Elizabeth bore him two sons, Roger and Hugh.
It is believed that Richard's father was Geoffrey de Styuecle/Steuecle, who was King's Esquire of Buckinghamshire and London and King's Esquire and chief serjeant of County Cork, Ireland, by his wife, Christine.
*Official who oversaw the reversion of land held under feudal tenure to the manor in the absence of legal heirs or claimants.

Stukeley, in right of his wife, gained the Affeton lands of East and West Wolrington,
Bradford Tracy, Bridgerule and others in Devonshire, as well as those in
Somerset and Dorset. He was Sheriff of Devonshire in 1448-49. The Stukeleys had
three children: Nicholas, Alice and Elizabeth.
Hugh Stukeley and Katherine
Affeton were married before 19 Dec 1437 in Affeton, West Wolrington,
Devonshire, England.3 Katherine Affeton3, daughter of John
Affeton and Joan Bratton, was born circa 1422 in Affeton, West Wolrington,
Devonshire, England.5 She died on 26 Mar 1467 at the
age of 45 in Little Easton, Essex, England.3

eldest son and heir of Nicholas. At the time born of his mother’s Inquisition
post mortem in 1478, Thomas was four years old. He held manors of Affeton, East
and West Wolrington (both with advowsons*), Mewshaw (with advowson),
Bridgerule, Drayford, Huntshaw, Thelbridge (with advowson), Studlegh, Bradford
Tracy, and Pyllaven. All were located in Devonshire. Stukeley was Sheriff of Devonshire in
1520-21.
