I thought I'd bypass the post today to make mention of the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon on September 11, 2001.
I was teaching my 2nd grade Social Studies class in my K-5 Soc. St. program on that day. The principal came on the PA and told me to turn on the TV. I did so, just in time to see the 2nd plane hit. We watched the news coverage and I did the best I could to answer the questions that were asked.
How do you explain the madness that led to the attacks to 8 year-olds?
