1. Peter Acie \ Acey1–2
was born about 1535 in Kirk Ella, Yorkshire, England.1–2 [Kirk Ella now Humberside] He died about 6 May 1591 at the age
of 56 in Kirk Ella, Yorkshire, England.1–2 Peter Acie was believed to be one of four siblings
native to Yorkshire. All four settled in Kirk Ella and Cottingham.
The eldest was Bryan, born c1530 and buried 29 January 1565/6 at Kirk Ella. His wife's name has not been determined. Bryan fathered at least three, possibly five children: William and Thomas were probably Bryan's children. Peter, Sybil and Ralph were definitely his.
Agnes Acie married at Kirk Ella on 11 July 1566 to Robert Rysom. There was a second Acie girl who married Robert Watson on 24 Nov 1566 at Kirk Ella.
Peter, born about 1535, married a woman named Cecily. The couple had seven children. Peter was buried at Kirk Ella on 6 May 1591. Cecily died between 20 August 1608, when she made her will, and 12 December 1608, when the will was probated.
In her will, Cecily made bequests to her grandchildren, Peter, Anne and Jane [children of Brian, dec'd]. She also named sons William and Peter and Anne and Jane, her daughters, as well as their children. Peter, Thomas, William and Jennet [William's children]; Bryan, William, Robert, Jane, Peter, Henry and Ralph [Peter's children]; Anna and Katherine Clark [presumed to be Anna's children, although not named as grandchildren]. William and Peter were named executors of the estate.

2. William Acie \ Acey Sr.1–2 (Peter-1) was born about 24 Mar 1563 in Kirk Ella,
Yorkshire, England.1–2 He died on 14 Mar 1625/6–9 Jan
1627 at the age of 62 in Kirk Ella, Yorkshire, England.1–2 William Acie, Sr. was baptized at Kirk Ella on 24
March 1562/3. He was a church warden in 1620. Acie made his will on 14 March
1625. He requested to be buried in the Kirk Ella Parish church "near the
stall where I usually sitt." He left three shillings and four pense to the
poor. William left his house to his wife Jane until her decease and then it
would go to son Peter and his heirs. Daughter Jennett was willed two acres.
Jane and Jennett were named executors. William died before 9 January 1626/7,
when his widow made her will.
The will of Jane [Skales] Acie, widow, was made on 9 January 1626/7. She requested to be buried next to her husband. Daughter Jane was named sole executor of her mother's estate. She named sons Peter, Thomas and William. Her will was probated on 4 July 1627.
In her will of 16 May 1627, Jennet Acie named her brothers Peter, Thomas and William. William was named executor. The will went to probate on 4 July of that year.
The children of William Acie, Sr. and Jane Skales were baptized at Kirk Ella.
Peter was baptized on 2 January 1593/4; Thomas on 12 July 1595; William on 18 March 1596/7; and Janet on 16 September 1599.
The will of Jane [Skales] Acie, widow, was made on 9 January 1626/7. She requested to be buried next to her husband. Daughter Jane was named sole executor of her mother's estate. She named sons Peter, Thomas and William. Her will was probated on 4 July 1627.
In her will of 16 May 1627, Jennet Acie named her brothers Peter, Thomas and William. William was named executor. The will went to probate on 4 July of that year.
