Christopher, son of Thomas and Joan [Wale] Almy, was married twice. First to _______ Clarke and second to Anne/Amie Greene, widow. By his first wife, Almy had three children: William, Joane and Mary. All three were born by 1605.
He made his will on 2 October 1624, calling himself "Gentleman." Christopher made the following bequests:
To his daughter Mary £400, half on her marriage day, half twelve months later, if she "be ruled in her choice" by Edward Hoden, William Allmey and John Paule. Should she "not be rule aforesaid," then she was to receive only £20.
To his grandchildren, William, Christopher and Richard Paule, sons of John, £10 to be equally divided among them, as they reach 15 years of age.
To only son William and his heirs, his tenement, orchard and garden in South Kilworth and all other lands in South Kilworth and elsewhere.
To daughters Joane Paule and Mary, should William have no issue, his legacy. [Providing Mary abides by terms already set forth.]
Bequests were made to the poor of Lutterworth and South Kilworth and to the maintenance and repairs of the Church of South Kilworth.
William was to receive all other goods and was named executor of the estate.
The will was proved 29 October 1624. Christopher was buried on 4 October 1624.
